SkillsUSA is America’s proud champion of the skilled trades! It is a nonprofit education association that serves middle and high school and college/postsecondary students preparing them for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations. SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers, and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled work force.

MEMBERSHIP / DUES

  • Eleven (11) chapters with 580 total members
  • Student: $14.00 – National ($8); State ($6)
  • Professional: $28.00 – National ($20); State ($8)

COMPETITIVE EVENTS

SkillsUSA’s 100+ competitive events are referred to as Championships and are career competition events that showcase the best career and technical education students in the nation. The philosophy of the SkillsUSA Championships is to reward students for excellence, to involve industry in directly evaluating student performance, and to keep training relevant to employers’ needs. Each competition is administered following the SkillsUSA Championships Technical Standards.

EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

SkillsUSA collegiate provides events and programs on the state and national levels. There are numerous educational opportunities offered through SkillsUSA such as the Washington Leadership Training Institute (WLTI), Elevate, Activate, SkillsUSA National Signing Day, Leverage, Engage, Connect to My Future, and others.
